Draws

Event Draws

The draw process decides bracket positions in each group and generates tournament matches. You can run a draw per group, or draw all groups at once.

Step 1: Choose draw mode in Event settings

In Event settings (Advanced settings), choose the draw mode for automatic placement:

  • Random (default)
  • Asymmetric
  • Symmetric

All three modes can be selected.

In Random mode, placement is still constrained so a boxer does not skip two stages. For example, in a 5-boxer group, a boxer should not be placed straight into the final.

Step 2: Make sure boxers are eligible for draw

Only boxers who are checked in / weighed in are included in the draw. Boxers without a completed check-in or weigh-in remain outside the bracket until they are cleared.

Step 3: Prepare groups before drawing

In the Groups tab, expand a group before it is drawn to access group tools.

  • Use Split if a group has too many boxers and needs to be divided into two groups.
  • Use Merge to combine groups again if needed.

This is a pre-draw step and should be done before matches are generated.

Step 4: Run the draw

You have two ways to draw:

Draw one group

Open the group draw page and:

  • Manually place seeded boxers in bracket positions. Manual placement can be done by drag and drop, or by right-clicking a boxer and using the context menu Place action.
  • Use Place boxers to randomly place all remaining unplaced boxers (following the selected draw mode constraints).

This lets you combine manual seeding with automatic completion.

Draw all groups

From the Groups tab, use Draw all groups to draw every eligible group in one action.

Step 5: Work with matches after draw

Once a group has been drawn, matches are generated for that group. At that point, you cannot add or remove boxers in that group unless you reset the group draw.

Generated matches are then placed as well as possible according to your preliminary plan. If needed, you can fine-tune placements in the Planning page under Real plan.

You can also move matches directly from the Match list page.

Step 6: Reset rules

If you must change participants in a drawn group, reset that group first. Resetting removes the generated draw/match structure for that group so you can update participants and draw again.

Resetting a draw is only possible before results are added. If results already exist in that group, you must reset those group matches first.
